Who’d be a director? That is the question posed in Rick Abbott’s ‘Play On!’, a tale of a gloriously inept theatre group desperately attempting to put on a murder mystery, in spite of a tsunami of catastrophes; wobbly sets, missing props, a fractious cast and crew, and a flighty first-time author who keeps on changing the script and plot right up to the dress rehearsal.
The play commences 3 weeks before opening night, with the overwhelmed director Geraldine at her wit’s end, and then leads us through a disastrous dress rehearsal and an opening night that will never be forgotten…for all the wrong reasons. Join us for this toe-curlingly hilarious peek at the world of amateur dramatics!
Play On! by Rick Abbott, directed by Chris Robertson.
