Balham Festival 2006

Friday 30th June

French Market from 9.00 to 5.00pm - Over 60 stalls in Hildreth Street and Bedford Hill selling Fench bread, cheese, meats, crepes, Tartiflette, olives, sweets, jewellery and much more. (Also Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd July)

Festival Soul Jam with Balham's finest DJ's, Jackdaw and Rook, 100 Balham High Road, 8pm to 1am, admission free

Saturday 1st July

Balham Community Space, (Bedford Hill, rear of Sainsbury's car park)

Come and see the colourful Carnival Parade with live bands and dancers, starts at 2pm at Aura House, Oldridge Road. Route is Balham High Road, Elmfield Road, Bedford Hill and back onto Balham High Road.

10.30 to 5.30pm Book Sale in Balham Library, Ramsden Road (also Sunday 1 to 4.30pm)

Thames Housing Association Fun Day 12 noon to 4 pm - a variety of bands and events. 53 Oldridge Road.

Local History Walk starts at 2.30pm at Clapham South tube station, guided walk around the Balham Hill area.

Triangle youth Club Fun Day 12 noon to 5 pm - steel band, martial arts, music studio, BBQ, Arts and crafts, picture framing and more, admission free

Local business Thingimajig and Raw Platimum co-organising a Fashion show in the Exhibit bar, Balham Station Road, drinks from 6.30pm, show starts at 7.30pm.
