Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust offers practical solutions to help young people
get their lives working. The Prince’s Trust runs the Development
Award, which provides:
Grants from £50 to £500 to help young people get
into education, training and employment.
Volunteer support to help set goals, make decisions and find
other programmes or support.

TRAINING FOR FINANCIALLY DISADVANTAGED, UNEMPLOYED, SINGLE PARENTS,
EX- OFFENDERS AND THE DISABLED
Frederick's Foundation
The charity helps Financially Disadvantaged, Unemployed, Single Parents,
Ex- offenders and the Disabled (FUSED) to realise their potential.
This is achieved by providing resources to individuals in order that
they may become self sustaining and to contribute to society economically.
By far the most common way in which they execute this mission is by
assisting individuals start their own businesses. They do this by providing
loans, mentors and a support package.

People with disabilities
A small partnership group including the Council, Richmond Felowship,
Frederick’s Foundation, Project Action, Prince’s Trust,
St George’s and South West Mental Health Trust and Business Links
for London have developed a scheme to promote the self employment of
disabled people and those with serious mental illness. Run by the Frederick’s
Foundation, it involves individual training, business advice, financial
grants and loans and ongoing ‘Business Mentor’ support.

New Deal
New Deal is a key part of the Government’s strategy to get people
back to work. It gives people on benefits the help and support they need
to look for work, including training and job preparation. Everybody on
New Deal gets a personal advisor who is their point of contact throughout
the programme. New Deal covers persons within the following groups: Young
People (18-24); Persons 25+; Persons 50+; Disabled people; Lone Parents;
Partners: Self employment; and Musicians.
