For people with mental illness (Club Houses)
A Clubhouse is a place where people who have had mental illness come to rebuild their lives. The participants are called members, not patients and the focus is on their strengths not their illness. Work in the clubhouse, whether it is clerical, data input, meal preparation or reaching out to their fellow members, provides the core healing process. Every opportunity provided is the result of the efforts of the members and small staff, who work side by side, in a unique partnership. One of the most important steps members take toward greater independence is transitional employment, where they work in the community at real jobs. Members also receive help in securing housing, advancing their education obtaining good psychiatric and medical care and maintaining government benefits. Membership is for life so members have all the time they need to secure their new life in the community.

Southside Partnership was formed in 1991 following a merger of Lambeth Consortium and Camberwell Housing Partnership. We specialise in providing high quality tailor-made services for people with mental health needs and people with learning disabilities.
We provide residential and outreach services with the emphasis on enabling our service users to live as independently as possible. We also have a division, Southside Partnership Fanon Care who provide culturally specific support to African and Caribbean people with the mental health needs.
This includes residential and day services and a joint project for African and Caribbean offenders with mental health needs with the London Probation Service. Southside Partnership also work with offenders/ex-offenders with mental health needs before and after release from prison with the Southside Prison Project. This work includes linking our service users into crucial services such as housing, drug and alcohol rehabilitation and primary health care.
