Balham comes under the Wandsworth Primary Care Trust who provide and commission a wide range of health services delivered in clinics, health centres, surgeries, people’s own homes and at Queen Mary’s Hospital, Roehampton. They support and develop the work of 53 GP practices and provide a range of community nursing and therapy services from a variety of locations, including health centres and clinics, GP surgeries, schools and peoples’ homes. Services include: district nursing, health visiting, specialist nursing, school nursing, family planning, HIV services, haemoglobinopathies, community dentistry, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech & language therapy, dietetics, rehabilitation services, and a Walk-In Centre based in the grounds of St George’s Hospital, Tooting SW17.
