has been active for the last 25 years. Children between the ages
of 4 and 12 are welcome for Polish dancing and singing.
Saturdays: Zabawa dance classes every Saturday night
which is accompanied by live music playing folk and Polish tunes.
This is definitely an experience to remember and a chance to have
a glimpse into traditional Polish style entertainment.

LEAP – Local Exercise Action Pilot –

This is a new government drive to encourage people to take
more activity. The project is jointly funded by the Department of
Health, the Countryside Agency and Sport England.
The projects aim to show people that activity can be simple
and fun and part of every day living – and that you don’t
need to go over the top to get fit and healthy.Ten different pilot
schemes are being run across England . The projects focus on different
activities and different target groups and the results will be used
to help draw up a nationwide strategy on exercise.
There are 5 projects within the Wandsworth LEAP that will run
until March 2006.

Older Active Person Programme
Be Active, Stay Independent
Are you over 50 and would you like to be rewarded for regularly
participating in exercise?
Wandsworth Council is offering free Active Passports to all
over 50s in the borough, as part of our Older Active Person programme.
Active Passports are designed to motivate and reward you for being
physically active. Every time you attend your local leisure centre
or a registered class, you will get a stamp in your Passport. Your
aim is to get 36 stamps in your Passport. As soon as you have completed
the stamps, return your Passport to us, and you will be:
- Sent a completion certificate
- Invited to our celebration party
- Entered into our grand prize draw
If you would like to get more active, the Passport programme
gives you a great starting point, and will keep you motivated. Passports
are on offer to all over 50s, whether you are already regularly
participating in physical activity, or would like to, but haven't
