Balham Farmers and Local Produce Market
Food lovers should flock to Balham's new-look Hildreth Street market on Sunday September 10th with the return of a farmers' market stocked with speciality goods. Following two successful pilot markets in June and july it is now being tralled on a weekly basis. Every Sunday from 10a.,m to 2 p.m, more than 20 stalls will be selling fish, meat, cheese, eggs, bread, and cakes.
The Farmers Market, which has been organised jointly by the Balham Town Centre Partnership, Wandsworth Council and Trinity Stores, will be open on Sunday, September 10th from 10.00am until 2pm. The traditional market is open Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm.
At the Library
Thursdays - Balham Library holds children's story time
Children's story time will be held at Balham Library, Ramsden Road SW12.
The group meets on Thursdays, from 14:15. There is also a story time session
on Tuesdays, from 11:00.
The reading group for children will meet at Balham Library, Ramsden Road
SW12 from 16:45 -17:45. The group meets the first Tuesday in the month.

Drama for the over 50s meets at The Bedford in Balham
The group meets in the Tavistock Room every Thursday from 13:30-15:30

Moveable Feast perform at The Bedford
Moveable Feast perform the first Thursday of every month in the Ballroom
at The Bedford, Bedford Hill SW12 from 19:30-20:30. They play their own
unique and original style of world roots music - lively, rhythmic and
full of fun - and draw on influences such as bluegrass, latin, cajun and
flamenco.
Comedy at Balham's Banana Cabaret at The Bedford
Doors open at 19:30.
Performances begin at 21:00. Tickets cost £12, concs £8.

Choral Society
The Society
was founded in 1886 and is an amateur choir of some 50 members. They are
always pleased to welcome new voices - soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
Their only requirements are that a member is enthusiastic, committed and
sings in tune. During each of three yearly terms, the group rehearses
and performs a different work, usually in one of Wandsworths churches. New members can telephone or email
for further information, or else just come along to a rehearsal and give
it a try.
Balham Townswomen's Guild
The group meets the fourth Tuesday of every month from 14:00-16:00 at
Wiseton Hall, Wiseton Road SW17.

Reiki Clinic for Pregnant Women & Mothers and Babies -

An exciting new community Reiki project run by experienced practitioners
offering Reiki treatments to pregnant women and mothers with babies. It
is an opportunity for mothers in the area to socialise together (organic
refreshments provided!) whilst at the same time receiving a gentle, healing
Reiki treatment for themselves and their babies. Every Wednesday 10:30
am - 1:30 pm. Cost: £10 per mother.
